The Particle Therapy Co-Operative Group (PTCOG) is a global, non-profit organization founded in 1985, dedicated to advancing the science, technology, and clinical application of particle therapy—encompassing proton, light ion, and heavy charged particle radiotherapy.
Our Mission
PTCOG’s mission is to promote the scientific and clinical development of particle therapy, aiming to enhance cancer treatment to the highest possible standards in radiation therapy. We achieve this by:
Encouraging improved and continuing education
Supporting global activities in particle radiation therapy
